Angel’s Landing

Angel’s Landing is arguably the best known hike in Zion National Park, a park full of legendary hikes. Although short in terms of distance, the elevation gain is substantial, as is the exposure to heights along “Walter’s Wiggles”, a steep switchback section, as well as during a high traverse along a chain rope towards the top of the small peak. The view from the top is perfect for peering down the entirety of Zion Canyon. The park’s shuttle buses appear tiny from this high, as do the other hikers making their way up the dozens of switchbacks.
