Sherburne Peak

Sherburne Peak is part of Yellow Mountain

Yellow Mountain is well, yellow. But the far peak of the miles long ridge, Sherburne Peak, is the most brilliantly colored portion of this mountain on the eastern front of the Lewis Range. Easily visible from areas near the towns of Saint Mary, Babb and Browning, Montana, Sherburne Peak is named after a local family that had their cabin and mining interests in the area near Babb, Montana before the park was created. The Sherburne family now lives in the nearby town of East Glacier Park, where they now run a hotel.
