Logan Pass sits at the intersection of the Going-to-the-Sun Road and the Continental Divide. Referred to by locals simply as “The Pass”, Logan Pass is the probably the most memorable scene for the majority of Glacier visitors. The pass has a visitor center that puts tourists directly into the alpine environment of Glacier and into close contact with bighorn sheep, mountain goats and other animals that inhabit the area. The very popular Highline Trail and Hidden Lake Trail begin here, leading to even more breathtaking scenery. The Glacier version of the “America the Beautiful” series of U.S. quarter dollars depicts the most familiar of Logan Pass sights, the iconic spire of Mount Reynolds (left side of picture).
