Titus Canyon

Colorful Titus Canyon is best seen via car or bicycle. The dirt road that leads through Titus Canyon actually begins in far western Nevada, where Titus Canyon cuts through the Grapevine Range back into California. Multiple mining claims which were fairly successful led to the improved road in the canyon and at its heyday, the town of Leadville was home to hundreds of miners and even had a US Post Office! Today, the rough road can be navigated fairly easily by high clearance vehicles, offering access to the rugged, colorful canyon and high country near the Nevada border, making Titus Canyon Road one of the more popular easier drives in Death Valley National Park.
