Death Valley National Park is a vast wilderness which contains several large basins in addition to the 100 mile long Death Valley itself. Other lesser-known valleys include the Panamint Valley (pictured above), which includes the eastern slope of the park’s highest mountain range, the Panamints as well as the Coso Range on the western edge of the park.
